Product FAQs
Q.Can you really make shutters for any shape?
A.Almost! We've created shutters for arches, circles, triangles, hexagons, and even complex multi-angled gable ends. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing process allows us to follow the exact template of your window. If you have a particularly unusual window in a Peak District barn conversion or a modern architectural home, we'd love the challenge of designing a solution for it.
Q.Do shaped shutters still open and close?
A.Yes, in most cases the louvres remain fully operational, allowing you to control light just like a standard shutter. Depending on the shape, the panels themselves may be fixed in place or hinged to open. For example, circular shutters often have louvres that fan out from the centre, while arched shutters can have panels that hinge at the side. We'll explain the movement options for your specific shape during our consultation.
Q.How long does it take to get shaped shutters?
A.Because shaped shutters require a more complex templating and manufacturing process, the lead time is typically slightly longer than for standard rectangular shutters—usually around 12-14 weeks. Each one is a bespoke piece of furniture crafted specifically for your home, and we believe the wait is worth it for a result that looks like a built-in part of your home's architecture.
