Product FAQs
Q.Can Roman blinds be fitted inside the window recess?
A.Yes, they can be fitted both inside and outside the recess. Fitting inside the recess provides a neat, integrated look that's perfect for smaller rooms. Fitting outside the recess (onto the wall above the window) can make a window appear larger and allows the blind to be pulled up completely clear of the glass, maximising the light. During our home visit in Bakewell or Matlock, we'll show you how both options would look.
Q.What are the benefits of a blackout lining?
A.Our premium blackout lining is highly recommended for bedrooms and nurseries. Not only does it block out almost all external light for a better night's sleep, but it also adds 'body' to the fabric, helping the Roman folds hang more beautifully. Additionally, the extra layer provides improved thermal insulation, keeping your room warmer in the winter and cooler in the summer by reflecting the sun's rays.
Q.How do I care for my Roman blinds?
A.Because our Roman blinds are made from high-quality furnishing fabrics, they should be treated similarly to curtains. For regular cleaning, a light vacuum with a brush attachment is usually all that's needed to remove dust. If they become marked, we recommend professional dry cleaning to ensure the fabric doesn't shrink and the folds remain crisp. We'll provide full care instructions specific to your chosen fabric upon installation.
